An Important PSA

Recently, it has come to my attention that animal rights activists are at it again, and they have their targets set on the bully breed community.

It’s not a new thing for ARA to target the owners of working breeds, working APBT owners in particular seem to be their most common victim.

I was told privately that an owner of ADBA-registered, weight-pulling APBTs had animal control called on them and had their dogs confiscated once AC discovered that the dogs were (what a surprise..) dog-aggressive. The natural DA of this breed in combination with “dog-fighting paraphernalia” like weight-pull equipment had resulted in a few of their dogs being senselessly killed by AC. The owner is facing animal cruelty charges.
Another user of this website has gone into hiding for fear of the same thing occuring to their dogs.

I’m making this post to advise my followers that if they have a fit, athletic dog, enter it in sports such as weight-pull, wall-climb, etc, or own and take pictures of what’s incorrectly considered “dog-fighting equipment” such as carpet-mills, slat-mills, etc, to remove those photos.

ARA are prowling Tumblr and Facebook, looking for people to dox and torture by having their dogs slaughtered. They will attempt to befriend you (it would be good to deny any friend requests from random strangers who seemingly have the same interests as you on Facebook), and then they will go through your contact list and photos to find information about you and your family.
I need to emphasize that these people will have your dogs killed to push some sort of bizarre agenda of theirs.

If you have photos of your dogs in your yard, crop out any identifying vegetation or buildings in your yard. ARA will use the shape and colour of a house, a shed, locations of trees, etc in your photos in order to pinpoint which house is yours on Google maps.

If your dog wears an identifiable or unique collar, switch it out. If you own “dog-fighting paraphernalia” such as vintage books, magazines, movies, or anything like that – leave it at a friend’s house. AC will use this to push for animal abuse charges even if you’ve never even SEEN a dog-fight in your life.

If your dog has identifiable markings like two white toes on his front-left foot, crop it out if you can. Don’t take photos of him involved in sports where the toes or unique collar are visible.

Clear any EXIF data off of your photos, and if you have a smartphone, turn off GPS data for your photos.

Sometimes, people will randomly ask you weird questions like “are you married”, “are you dating somebody”, or similar, in order to narrow down results in Facebook in order to find you. Just today, I saw someone on anon asking another user these questions.

If you know of anyone who has had their dog photos reblogged by me, TELL ME and I will remove them ASAP. I take this threat seriously and I will do whatever I can to avoid having any more dogs and families destroyed by these nutjobs.

Isn’t it strange how ARA don’t promote safe exercise, but instead assist in having people’s family members killed? Huh.

Isn’t it strange how animal rights activists care about animals and don’t want them to be “working” because dogs exist to be dogs and not work? Not that I agree with “working dogs” but if you really cared about it, you would post information about it, enlightening the minds of others. Also safe exercise is throwing a ball, not having them pull weights. Sorry, but saying “I don’t fight dogs!!” Isn’t going to cut it, that’s what dog fighters deny. No one is going to make an exception for you just because you tell them otherwise.

Animal Rights Activists would rather a dog become an obese, unhealthy, unhappy, unexercised couch potato than have it and it’s owner entered in dog sports. Dogs exist to work, that is their entire purpose. Just because we don’t need things like baiting dogs or sighthounds to catch our meals anymore doesn’t mean we can’t continue to exercise our dogs by giving them a job to do, like weight-pulling.

Weight-pull is an exercise that you perform with your dog only after you’ve educated yourself thoroughly on it and you’ve been given the all-clear by a veterinary professional to enter your dog in such a sport, the same goes for sports like agility. Are you against agility as well?

“"I don’t fight dogs” isn’t going to cut it"
Not all dogs entered in weight-pull competitions are the breeds used for dog-fighting. Weight-pull is extremely popular with the sledding and mastiff breeds. I’ve even seen Puggles, Chihuahuas, and Jack Russells entered in weight-pull. If you stand a weight-pulling Puggle owner beside a weight-pulling APBT owner and they both say “I don’t fight dogs, I enter my dog in this sport because it’s entertaining and good exercise for my dog”, is one dog owner inherently a liar because of the breed they own?
What is the line for you? What makes the WPer a liar?

Furthermore, are you aware that dog-fighters use many methods of exercise to get their dogs in shape, such as throwing a ball, tug-of-war, running alongside a bike, hand-walking, hiking, etc?

How much do you know about dog-fighting, let alone weight-pulling? Can you share your knowledge with those of us who are clearly ignorant, compared to you?
